Description: Winter on the Western Front 1915-1916. A kite balloon is manoeuvred up by RFC personnel. A view from an aircraft at 10,000 feet over the countryside, ending with a spiralling dive from 14,000 feet. A caption gives British claims for the Battle of Jutland, 31st May 1916: German losses 18 battleships, cruisers and submarines against 13 British ships. The battle cruiser base at Rosyth, showing a Felixstowe flying boat and various battle cruisers, notably HMS Lion.
